So, it’s been a few days since you’ve heard from me. Hopefully you’ve been reading Carolynn’s account of our adventures at www.hundredollarbusiness.wordpress.com. Today, December 4th was my second day at the kiosk. I was there from 9:15 til about 6:00… long day. I was alone for most of the time and had a great time talking to customers and selling the products. It makes such a difference when you believe in the product and have ownership of the business- it’s a great motivator! It was pretty slow today and I was pretty dissapointed with the sales, but I know that it will get better. We had a bit of a slow start this morning- Carolynn was up all night (til 6:00 this morning) working on business stuff and she fell asleep. So, when I got to the mall, I didn’t have keys to open everything up and I couldn’t get a hold of Carolynn. I was really worried, but she came through and we got everything rolling. Poor Carolynn was exhausted and a little discourages, but had a great day working with vendors and came back with her normal positive, go get ‘em attitude. I think that having a positive and confidence outlook is really vital to a business. I think that is part of the reason this idea is a reality.

Due to our tight budget I have really been focused on networking to get the word out. I have been calling or talking to anyone I can and fortunately all of my friends have been really supportive, and actually excited about this adventure! Fortunately, our blog has attracted some attention and we are hoping that this leads to more customers and supporters of the Hundred Dollar Business. Just to see the number of visits to the blog as well as the positive response from those who learn about the experiment have really helped me personally to stay motivated and focused on success!

Well, I have a paper to write… it’s a balancing act with school and work, but I love it!!
